I just have to say a huge big THANK YOU to Hendrik for making this possible on the new update!!!!

Im still amazed how great MC and JRVR is.....
for me I get everything I could possibly wish for with video playback, I would recommend for those that havent tried it, do so!!!!

Can I ask for others here who wanted this feature to test it, I have a funny feeling it looks a bit greenish (not like BT709) on the thumbs in Theatre View.
I might be crazy but can others test and get back to me please?

Thanks to all you developers at JRiver, its the best!

In comparison to BT.709 it will look more green - but that should be because BT.709 was not green enough on a BT.2020 screen.

It looks quite green on my OLED.  Turning it off, personal preference I guess, if this is supposed to be accurate

Note that its only supposed to be used when your display is configured to expect BT.2020 SDR, which is not that common a setup for TVs, but was added for certain projector setups.
If you use HDR output, then Windows will convert the colors to BT.2020, so you should not let MC do it, and most SDR setups will expect BT.709 (eg. the default color for PCs), so SDR BT.2020 is rather special.

I used to run 709 right through the chain even for HDR to SDR on my JVC projs, and Theatre View menu and thumbs looked normal. Now I run 2020 locked on for HDR to SDR but Theatre View menu is definitely greenish for all the thumbs. Its easy to change them back and forth to see this green colour tint. Im not sure what causes this......

Helpful - thanks!

I'd add a tooltip to the option that indicates it's primarily for projectors.

I have also identified an issue with the option where the conversion matrix was transposed compared to what OpenGL wants, resulting in the green tint that was observed. It'll be rectified in the next version. The colors now match what JRVR would output when tasked with the same (eg. I made a short recording of Theater View and played it through JRVR to see the same color transform).
