I just tried watching Yojimbo on my 2.4:1 projection screen and noticed an unusual situation. Dialogue is normally at the bottom of the screen so selecting shift up allows them to be seen in the active picture instead of the dead area where black bars would be. However during the title sequence the Japanese names fill the screen and the translations are displayed above them, at the top of the screen. Now when I shift up for dialogue i push this information off the top of the screen.

It would be helpful if the shifting was described as “up from bottom and down from top” so that both scenarios could be tracked by a single setting.
