Hi Marko,
Sorry I did not answer your previous post. I did not know what to tell you.
The stuff in your win.ini file seems to be alright. There is nothing suspicious there. The section labelled [annie] is actually used by Microsoft's DirectShow sample program AMCap.exe. It looks like you have tried that program. Did recording work with that program?
Yaobing
No problem.
Nice to know you looked at it.
I'll keep plugging away @ it this end, just nice to know there's someone to bounce off when I find things I'm not sure of.
The really frustrating thing is that a few builds back, recording worked flawlessly with MC!!! Jeeez I was
so excited as it was the 1st app
EVER to work for me. The annoying thing is, I can't remember which one it was.
The TV card is the last surving piece of hardware from a Packard Bell PC I bought a few years ago, so I always thought it most likely that PB may have changed something on the card itself to suit themselves.
Amcap's a microsoft proggie? We never stop learning do we:) The first I heard of this one was when the lastest drivers/application files from hauppague placed a shortcut to it in their start menu folder. Yes I did try it out, and no, I couldn't get it to work. I wasn't able to pick up a channel with it, never mind record one.
I'll have a look @ the new build once I've posted this....
you never know:)
btw, I thought about trying all the builds I've got here to try and track down the one that worked for me and 2 things came to mind....
- If it's purely a system limitation here, the one that worked before may also not be working now.
- I would need to be certain that each installation was a "clean" one. ie. that there is no debris laying around from a previous install for the new one to detect.
That's a lot of hassle. If, by chance, I was lucky enough to find the build that worked, would that be of any help to you? If no, then I'll pass. If yes, are there instructions anywhere for a complete removal of Media Center?
