Jim asked me to start a new thread for this request and describe my setup details.

The request is simple.  Please have the detached display automatically use the playing videos' aspect ratio, so no black bars are shown around any video playing.  Any resizing should only require pulling one edge and the window maintains the correct aspect ratio.

Any other player i use which offers detached displays (Firefox, YouTube, WMC) all do this by default.

My setup is not special.  I think I'm using all default video settings, including JRVR.  But, as you can see, this goes back over a decade, with every setup I've ever used.  so I don't think this is a setting issue, I believe it's a functionality missing issue.

Here is a post I made about Netflix cropping images once the windows gets too small.  I no longer pay for Netflix so i cannot test this right now, but if the detached window does get some love, and if this is still an issue, perhaps this can be addressed at the same time.
