Using a Pixel 8 Pro and a Fiio BTR17 USB DAC I noticed some different behaviour between playing hi-res music from my JRiver MC server using Jremote3 or JRiver for Android.

With Jremote3 the DAC defaults to 48kHz and while playing any 16/44 material it sticks to resampling to 48kHz. As soon as I play any higher res material the DAC switches to 192kHz and whatever material I play after that, including 16/44 or odder things like 24/176 it stays at 192kHz.

With JRiver for Android the DAC stays at 48kHz regardless what I play.


Is this an intended behaviour? Or an issue with this specific DAC?
