Newbie questions
« on: January 06, 2003, 10:11:09 am »

Hi everyone...
I'm really enjoying my trial version of MJ.  I do have a couple of questions:
1) When using the media server, over a broadband connection on both ends....every few minutes, the song will pause to re-buffer.  Any way to fix this?
2) I'm confused on the Media Center 9 and Media Jukebox 8.  Is MC9 going to replace MJ8?  Or will some MC9 features be added to MJ8?
thanks in advance.

That could be a network problem.

MC and MJ will both exist.  Later some features of MC may appear in MJ.
This may help:

What's the speed of the broadband connection (upload and download) and what's the bitrate of the files you're playing?

A DSL connection with an upload speed of 256kb for instance, isn't fast enough to play an MP3 encoded at 256kb without buffering every once in a while.
