HI, I read the FAQs and it says that to upgrade from 8 to 9, all I have to do is install 9 and a backup file for 8 will be created.  Well, I did that, but I didn't get a backup, and version 9 tells me that it's only a trial, even though I have the license for 8.  I tried to install the license from the help menu, but the license has a rrg extension, not a mjr extension.  

Well, I just read that if you're using 8 with a 7 license it won't work and you have to purchase version 9 again??  I hope that's not true.  I also bought MusicMath at the very beginning, and it keeps giving me the chance to upgrade for free.

That is true.  V8 was free for V7 license owners.  V9 is not.

If you decide to go back to V8, please download the latest version from the downloads page.

Well, I guess I'll just go back to version 8.   I'm pretty dissapointed that owners of previous versions have to pay again.

Sorry you feel that way, but it takes money to keep the MJ/MC team fed, clothed, and housed.  Matt and his wife just bought their first house today.
