This is probably 135 on the list of 50 most important items to fix:

It would be nice if the "Visit Interact" menu item in help or while searching for new files defaulted either to the main board menu or to the Media Center 9 board instead of always going to MJ 8.

I vote for the :

main board menu
http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi
then you can see last 10 messages, last post, who's on. etc...

Make a link on your toolbar. Then you can go where you want to.
