Does MC trial allow plugins?

Does MC9 trial allow plugins?

I am trying to download the several plugins including, Girder and Web Remote and get error massages ("Invalid Packet File)?  I am using the MC 9 trial.

Yes, it should, and normally it does. But this might be related to beta problems, although I have never heard anybody having this problem. You're not behind a firewall that messes up something?  8)
