We know it's been like 3 years since the last build of Media Center.  The good news is the new build will be ready tomorrow.  The bad news is, we've been saying the new build "will be ready tomorrow" for the last month

The hold-up is two fold.  First, we're switching everything to unicode so Media Center will be the Center of choice for our not-so-latin-based-reading friends.  It's a pretty huge change, and it takes a lot of time.  

That brings up the second problem, namely that nobody has been around to work on the changes. (holidays and all)

However, I assure you there will be another build of Media Center available someday -- maybe even tomorrow

In the meantime, seen any good movies?  Lord of the Rings II was a snore.  I want to watch A Simple Plan again soon.

Nice to know your all still alive and kicking.

Was kind of wondering when we were going to start getting some new builds with new features for us to play with.

That big 'Wish List' thread disappeared a while ago.
How about surprising us with the next build and throwing in some noticable new feature. We've already had a long gap since the last build, make it a little longer and surprise us all with something to jump out at us.

Oh yeah, and could you PLEASE fix the CD ripping bug in this build too - it's quite a major issue


I hope you had a Fun X-mas and I'm still waiting to See Lord of the Rings 2, I heard it was pretty good from most people I know who've seen it. I'm hoping I'll enjoy it

Well i happened to think LOTR2 was very well done. Much more action than the first. Of course it could have been better. But what movies are truly the best they could be?

Best movie? I believe it has to be "Tillsammans" or "Together" which it might be called if it's released outside Sweden... Lovely story about a 70s collective. I like movies that make you feel childishly happy after you've seen them

Well, was that swedish, little flick nominated to an Oscar...like the Norwegian "Elling"?   Anyway, I'm afraid "Two Towers" won't get that award either, since the first one didn't. But I'm pretty sure that the third part of the trilogy will win Best Movie.

Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers

1. I enjoyed it immensely

2. I'm easily entertained  

3. I loved Gollum!!! Wonderful character. He wasss the high point of the movie.

Yeah!!!!!

Going off the movie line for a moment, I saw that Unicode will be in the next build!!! I look forward to this build so much.  

I will be the first to download this build as soon as it is available. If I find any possible bugs or possible improvements then I will send my feedback. I have dozens of Japanese CD's that I want to burn to my system.  

If all goes well, I will be making a mass mailing to all my Japanese friends.

After that, I will buy MC9. I don't care if it's $29, $34 or $39 it is ok by me.

I just talked to JimH on the phone about this (Unicode), And they have bigger plans next year for the World market.

I am sure you will be happy with it.
