Re-Registration failing violently
« on: December 31, 2002, 10:24:47 am »

Hi

I have a bit of a problem with versions 9.0.86 & 9.0.88.

I have been trying to re-register my copy of MC on my machine as I had to reinstall windows due to registry problems.  When I try to use my saved licence to re-install the licence MC freezes.  The CPU utilisation hits 100% and stays there, memory utisisation starts to rise and keeps on rising.  The highest I have let it get to is about 500 MB (five hundred) before I decided it wasn't going to get any better and killed the process.

This occured on both versions, and is on a fresh install of windows 2000 sp3.  P4 2.4, 256mb RDRAM, 100GB disk space.

Any help as to how I can re-register successfully.  I don't currently have internet access on that machine.  I am currently running unregistered.  I have a fully version 8 licence from several months ago which was working fine prior to the rer-install.

Regards
Mark

You need to visit the restore page to generate a new install key.  You can find it from here:

www.mediajukebox.com/license

Build 86 has probably expired completely, but build 88 should be good.

With that subject name I thought that re-registration ends up in a fight.  ?

I pictured a User floping on the floor like a fish that just jumped out of the tank.
