Registration problems
« on: November 26, 2002, 12:08:28 pm »

I purchased MJ8 in September. Never could get it registered on the machine I intended (earlier thread "MJB crashes").

Just got a new machine, tried to register MJ9 using my .mjr file, still no luck. Also, I can't use the restore page as it requires all kinds of information I don't think I ever gave JRiver (address, company name, etc.). Also a password, which - if I ever had one - I can't remember.

Any ideas about how to get through the restore page, or otherwise successfully register the software would be appreciated.

Please see the FAQ under Jukebox/Purchase above on how to restore your license.  All you need to remember is your e-mail.  If you have trouble, tell us how far you got.

Hi pineflat,

Please email me (gateley @ jriver.com) as many details as you remember about your purchase.

Thanks,

Thanks for your replies, Jim and John.

Jim, on the restore form I keep getting bounced back to fill it in again, despite entering the correct reg. code and email address.

John, when I tried to email you just now, I got the following error message from your server (I did enter your email address correctly):

"Hi. This is the qmail-send program at linux.jriver.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out."

Oops, sorry John - my spelling error on your email address. I have re-sent my original purchase confirmation.

Problem solved! The new .mjr did the trick. Thanks for the assistance.
