Can you change filename based on file properties?
« on: November 12, 2002, 03:19:53 am »

I know I can tag based on filename (artist - name), but can you update the filename based on the tag?  Similar to the Rename function in Tag&Rename.  I am hoping I can use MJ9 for tagging and abandon Tag&Rename.  I only use it because I had issues with tagging under MJ8.

Yes you can! I don't have MJ with me, but I did this the other day. I think I just right-clicked on a selection of files and it was somewhere on the menu. It lets you specify a directory to move the files to based on the properties as well as just change the name (if you want). Much better than MusicMatch  :)

Yes but I can't see anymore the option to remove emty folders (this one that exists in MJ8 but is buggy as it doesn't work for several selected files).
