Downloaded "the thing" last night... still haven't got my password but I could check a little bit the catalogue.

At first sight, same stuff (almost album by album) than weblisten. Don't know whether you could stock the downloader and let it working unattended...

As soon as I get my pass will give it a try.

Take care C8,

I plan to go through the 25 free downloads and see what sort of quality it is . THEN we'll see about money.

Alas, most of the files are 128 KB. The download speed was decent for freebies and they promised faster with a subscription but you can only use THEIR download manager.
The album list was pretty good but AllofMP3 has most of it and with higher bit rates.
However, $3.95 (US) for 8 hours of unlimited downloads isn't bad and there's no contract.
So I guess it all depends on how you feel about 128 k songs.

Thanks for the info, C8. Can you belive that I still haven't got the email with my pass having signed up on Thursday?  :o

Anyway, I have reviewed a few deeper the catalogue and I agree with all your considerations. Allofmp3 gives most of the albums but at better bitrates.

128 k is not a problem to me for non-essential albums... but under those circumstances I prefer [web site removed] or weblisten.

Thanks again and take care, C8

Yeah. I doubt if I'll go any further with "Puretunes". Like you say, 128 is OK for "non-essential" but if it's that, why bother?
