VBR problem
« on: December 26, 2002, 12:59:57 pm »

Hay,

I am new to MJ8 but i am very impressed so far BUT i have notised that the player has problems with VBR mp3's. I has a loud klik in it. Winamp play the file perfectly. The new 9 version has the same problem.

So I was wandering if the is a way of choosing winamp as the default player or is the an other plugin player.

Greetings

That's not normal.  Try updating your soundcard driver.

I have 2 PC's different soundcards same problem
Winamp is doing fine. Windows Mediaplayer also OK.
My HTPC WinXP, Terratec EWX 24/96
My PC WinXP, Hercules Gametheatre

So I dont think its the soundcard.

Maybee next info can help your development team

So your not going to install the sound card driver?

he told you that because that sometimes fixes this problem.

You could also try switching playback between Direct Sound and Wave Out.

But as King says, when you call the doctor, you could at least try the medicine.

Adjust the playback slider to more skip resistant. Look in options.
