Keyboard controls for MJ8

I have a compaq presario notebook and it has play/pause, stop, >>, << function keys on F9 through F12.  Now these keys, naturally, work splendidly with WMP when it's active or minimized/hidden/what-have-you.  However I use MJ8 exclusively and the keys only work when MJ8 is actively selected.  But I want control all the time, no matter what I'm doing, so I want to know if anyone knows of a way to reprogram these keys to control MJ8 even if it's inactive or minimized.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hai

Try using girder (www.girder.nl)
If you use the keyboard p;ugin you can capture the keys and instruct girder to send for example a ctrl-p to mj8. Girder can do a lot more for you but you will see.
