MC 9.1.269: Search -> bug ?
« on: October 11, 2003, 08:15:40 am »

Search strange behavior: bug or not ?

When you give a search criteria (e.g. Date=1980), all panels (Artist, Alblum, Tracks, etc...) are updated accordingly. So far so good.

When you then click, let's say on a specific artist in the Artist panel (e.g. Bee Gees), one would expect the search to be narrowed down and tracks updated accordingly (displaying tracks only for Artist=Bee Gees and Date=1980).
Instead, the search criteria (Date=1980) is discarded and tracks are updated on the basis of Artist=Bee Gees (though the search criteria is still displayed in the search text box).

By the way, searching for "date created/modified" would be great too (it is given as a keyword but it does not seem to work).

Could you test the current release before reporting a bug?  It's at the top of this board.

Thanks.

Very sorry. I should have.

"Search narrowing" bug has been fixed. My apologize.

As for the "[Date Modified]" problem, I still have very strange result: in order to circumvent a file wich modified date is 2002-06-20, I have to play around a value roughly ~9'600'000'000 ([Date Modified]=<=9'600'000'000). However I interpret it (minutes, seconds, millis, ...), it doesn't match.
NB: As on 2003-10-11, this file has be modified (quick claculation) 475+/-5 days, 11'400+/-120 hours, 684'000+/-7'200 minutes, 41'040'000+/-432'000 seconds

Hope I'm not missing something and making a fool of myself.
