cover art in mp3 tags won't display over network

I've been using remote server successfully to play mp3s over my local network but there is something I don't seem able to do: I have all my cover arts stored inside mp3 files and while I'm able to see them on the client machine in the action window, they don't show up in either track info or visualization. Does anyone has any idea of why it is so?
