Adding radio stations

Tried to add the wmp stream from a local radio station (KQED), and the system refused claiming it already existed. The Real stream exists, but not the wmp stream. I would like to be able to choose my format.

Similarly, if I open an URL through the File Menu, I would like a way to add this to my web media view, without having to go through the add a station mechanism. I could do this in v7, why not in v8?
