Of course, I'm disappointed about the server support, but I understand. I'm going to put a USB 2.0 card in the server and just work from that for now (it seems to work fine using the existing USB 1.1 ports from the server).
With regard to the Nomad to PC transfer, I tried this on a different PC (with only USB 1.1), and it seems to work.

This one is a notebook PC with USB 1.1. Also note that SysInfo says that the CPU is "259 MHz", but it's really 700 MHz.
I don't know if the difference in the USB speed is an issue (i.e. timing), or whether the OS has anything to do with it, but it is very repeatable. In case it matters, these are both client machines connecting to Media Server. If there is any other info I can provide, please let me know.
I also have a couple of other questions regarding file names and playlists, but I'll post them separately.
