The preview track length is only about 4 seconds long.  Is there anyway to make the preview longer?

Looking at ME from MJ 8.0.396, I see no reference to any preview. Are you referring to the clipboard buffer? Even that is limited only by free RAM. Could you be more explicit?

In the media editor, when I am equalizing my files, the preview pane only lasts about 4 seconds which is not nearly enough to know wether or not I'm going to like the new equalization settings.  Can I make the preview function longer before I save the equalized file?

I see what your talking about now (ie Transform>Stereo Mixing>Preview). Currently, there is nothing in the registry that can change the preview length...so it might be hard coded. There may be a custom registry value that acts as an override (only JRiver would know). If not, hit google for a media editor (there's a ton out there...and they may be more customizeable).
