First track is always the same
« on: October 25, 2003, 01:57:21 pm »

For some reason, MC really likes one of my tracks in particular. If I double-click on any of the smartlists it's on, it always plays first even when I'm in shuffle mode. The rest of the tracks are randomized as I'd expect. This keeps happening even if I quit and restart MC, play other playlists, etc. Playlists that *don't* have this track don't have the problem -- they start off with a random track like they should.

Anyone else seeing anything like this?

Actually yes, I've had it since I started using MC 9.0, and it's continued right throughout the builds.

The file info is as follows:
Filename: D:\Music\A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms\3 Libra's.mp3
Name: 3 Libra's
Artist: A Perfect Circle
Album: Mer De Noms
Track#: 6

It even plays first when I double click on the album and it's set to play from track 1, as it does with all my other albums. I thought it might have something to do with the single number at the start of the name, or maybe the apostrophe.

Scott.

Try deleting the album/track from your library then reimporting it.  I had a similar problem with an album that would not play in the right order.  This sorted it out...

I could have sworn that I'd already tried that... in fact, yes, I re-imported my entire library a few months back. Something must have been fixed since then because this time it worked.

Cheers,

Scott.

Before I do that, does anyone at JRiver want me to save my database or anything like that in order to track the bug down?
