:) - once they fix the link - let me know if you have any problems with it (use the plugin forum).

It'd be nice to get some feedback!

Ok - I just uploaded it again and it seems to have fixed the link now.

Download it on the plugins page and see this link:

Any feedback appreciated :)

Nila -

I played with the website creator when it was first posted.  Very cool!

I'm at work right now so I can't take a look to confirm, but when I was looking at it I couldn't figure out how to do a seperate caption for each photo.

Did I miss something, or is this not possible?

The plugin is designed to pull the data out of the MC database.

So the seperate captions are created by making them up of the fields you want to use.

If you want to enter a story or whatever for each picture then you just save this in MC as say the picture name, or picture comment or whatever then enter:  [Comment] or [Name] into the text boxes and it'll create the page and fill in this info (same way the MC file naming functions work).

Whole point of it is to create the site from your MC tags so it can be re-used again and again and display as much info as possible.

Each MC tag that is used is also surrounded by it's own <div tag too so can be tweaked visually in the .css file so it effects that tag on all the pages.

You just went over my head, but I think I got most of it.

I'll take a closer look soon.

During installation I'm asked to insert disk#1 (what's that?  :o). I push ok, then there is an error ("cannot open ... you may have inserted the wrong disk"  ;) ). I'm not able to install it.

Ok I'm working on my installers and trying to sort them out - what a pain in the ass!!!

Anyway, I'll try fix it and update it ASAP.

Sorry for the problems - the real shame is the plugin works just the installers are the problem :)

Hey Nila,

What a great plug-in. I noodled with it yesterday, and it's fantastic.  I was wondering... how can I easily "clear" it after having created a website? MOst of the time it freezes on me when I want to select a different playlist for website #2, and I have to exit MC to fix it.

Also, it would be really neat if there could be default settings, so that if I make a mistake in changing something (the css or whatever) I could just go back to the defaults.

Anyway, it's a great time saver. Thanks so much for creating it and sharing!

wahey!!

Glad it worked for someone - the install problems are driving me nuts!!

I'll add a new 'Reset to defaults' option.

Try downloading the updated ocx file - that should fix the freezing problems.

http://www.hostrus.co.uk/tmp/WebsiteCreator.ocx (just copy it into your install dir and overwrite your old file.

Otherwise should work!

ooops.  Now that I downloaded the updated file, I can't get it to work. In fact, I can't use MC either: whenever I open MC I get a "Interface Plug-in 'Web Site Creator' could not be found or created", and the OK button or the X (close) don't work. I have to kill MC via task manager.

Was I just supposed to copy it over the existing file in c:\program files\Web Site Creator Deluxe?

Great! :(

Goes from bad to worse!

Ok - Lise - do you have MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM or anything like that so I can try sort this out?

Sorry for all the problems!!

Nila,

I sent my MSN address to you via the send an option message here on the board.  If you saw the message but couldn't send me a message, it's because I had it set to reject messages from users that were not on my list. I have changed that for the next couple of days.
