When I click on TOOLS > Options I get an error message:
"Error retreiving auto media insertion information"

What does this mean? And why has this begun appearing?

Sorry, we'll get out a fixed build soon. In the meantime, inserting or ejecting a CD while MC is running should let you get into Options.

I (and I presume everyone else) can still get into Options - you just get the message before the Options dialogue box appears...

Correct, I can still get into OPTIONS.
