Well i just though t i would share my good news with the board!

I wanted to post a small pic but have struggled to do so as i do have a web or ftp site currently. Is there a way? It is only 37Kb (Anyone willing to host?)

I would like to let you all know that Carmel (my Wife) gave birth to our first child at 20:12 Sunday 9th November

Adam Daniel was born weighing 8lb 6oz by Caesarean Section (eventually) 13 days overdue.

Both mother and baby are doing well and resting now.

Tired but extremely happy and very proud!

Were you present? (Both of mine were c-section babies.)

Scary and wonderful all at the same time for this type of birth. I wouldn't have missed it for the world, though my wife would have rather been somewhere else!

I hope you didn't miss this either.

It is truley a blessing... My daughter has just turned 1.

It is definatelry true what they say.

Thanks Machinehead. Yes i was present - wow what an experience. Carmel was also able to be awake as well as they used an Epidural Spinal Anaesthetic.

Yup - i heard a lot of that King from various rooms / wards.

Mine however just nearly broke my fingers with all of the squeezing!

Congratulations to you and your family, Graham. Having children (2 beautiful daughters) was the happiest, the most rewarding (and the most difficult) part of my life. You're in for a great ride.

I just started my 8th month of waking throughout the night with our baby boy. Definately not the best part of the whole experience.

Just wait until you make him laugh for the first time, or seeing him smile when he sees you. It makes you forget about the late nights and the dirty diapers.

Congratulations and Enjoy, it all goes by incredibly fast, 8 months feels like 3 weeks.....

Enjoy every minute, it certainly does go by fast.
And you will miss those times where you were able to place them on a blanket knowing they would be in the exact same spot upon your return.

Thanks Jlee - yes she is tired - he (Adam) is being a little monkey when i go home - giving her not much sleep!
