Converting WMA to MP3 /  DSP while sendint to Devi
« on: December 16, 2002, 11:25:54 am »

Hi I have 2 questions:

1. How can I convert an MP3 file to WMA in MJ?

2. Does MJ applies DSP (like DFX) enhancements directly to the files when they are sent to a portable or burned to CD?  Music Match has this feature (while sendint to device or converting file format) but I have not found information for MJ.

Thanks

1) Select your files, then go to Tools> Convert Format and select your output format.

2) No for v8, but v9 will on burn (between tracks at least)

Thanks!

I don't understand your second answer.  You say version 9 applies DSP effects during burn between tacks, does it applies it directly to the file?

Another question:  How can I contact the developers directly to suggest the addition of the mentioned feature (to add DSP when sending to portables)?  I have seen the which list but I think it is too long for developers to read it.  Also I consider this feature will make many many MusicMatch users switch to MJ in a snap.

Also I have some other suggestion I would like to recommed as a seasoned user of Music Match and RealOne.

The two methods of contacting the developers regarding feature suggestions are the Wish List and these user forums.

It must. I don't have v9...so I'm guessing. But I've heard that v9 can do custom DSP stuff like that (v8 does it only on playback). Hit the MC9 forum and ask your question there...you'll get more informed answers.
