couple o' bugs

Howdy.

Whenever I run MC for a second time after quitting it, it freezes for about 20 seconds. It doesn't do anything particularly bad to my system. I can go to other programs and back to MC, it just doesn't respond to mouse-clicks in any way. Then it works fine. It's just sort of annoying

Somewhat more fustratingly, every once in a while the music will just stop playing. The slider will stop its normally faithful progress across my screen, and the counter will halt. I can navigate the screens and menus fine, it's not frozen or anything, its just the music. I have to stop playback and start again.

Furthermore, very infrequently but still somewhat regularly, the playback will become garbled and slowed. I have to stop and resume playback.

I'm using 9.1.311, but these've been happenning the last couple of versions. I can't confirm that either of the last two have happened on 9.1.311 though, as I just downloaded it.

Thanks.

That almost sounds like hardware silliness.  Sound card drivers or switching the output type (DirectSound, WaveOut) might help.

Anyone else ever see this?
