Dfx and 5.1 output

I have the media center 9.1.308, and a 5.1 sound system. I am having some trouble when I put the dfx and the dsp output format to 5.1 channels, the result is that mc crash.
Each of them works ok separately.
What can I do?
Is this a problem with dfx or mc?

Post your system info.
Also, consider upgrading DFX to 6.1 and upgrade Media Center to the latest release this might fix your problem.
I Have the latest Media Center and the latest DFX product installed and I have not had any problems.

I have DFX 6.1, and media center 9.1.308. I have integrated sound 5.1, with sound max software up to date, xp os, and pentium 2.4 ghz with 256 ram 40% free, and the klipsh promedia 5.1 speakers.
My media center always goes down when I use both 5.1 channels JRSS 2.0 (comes with dps studio), and the dfx 6.11.
