paste mix failure

using media editor 1.1.35 ...with 2 open wave files and one of these copied as a track onto the clipboard...can anyone tell me why the "paste mix" is greyed out when you try and paste onto other file.

Also when I try to save any wave file as a mp3 file the program fails.

any help out there.

Which is from what build of MJ? 400 is the latest.

Thanks I figured that one out.  What was happening was that the two sound files were not compatable.  It worked once I converted the problem file to the suggested format.

On my other question ...can you tell me why the program bugs out when I try to convert the wav file to mp3?
