We will now only fix "show stoppers" in 9.1 -- (disastrous bugs) -- I don't think there are any left.
This is NOT true. MC 9.1 crashes all the time, usually caused by problems in visualizations. I run MC 9.1.316 on three (way different) machines and it has problems on all of them. On one, it takes out the entire machine if you so much as allow the visualizations to run for a minute or more.
Neither is the "no fix" any longer acceptable. I've been biding time for the better part of a year, having bought MJ 7.2 and MC 9, for a product that actually works - to no avail.
Even less serious problems, like the refusal to recognize that the CD has been changed following a rip, or the fact that if you eject a CD while its playing you get sent to dialog box Hell until it gets put back, ARE show stoppers to we who are trying to convince our families that they too can operate the HTPC. If ANYTHING goes wrong while they're using it, well I'm back to square one.
This product has tremdous potential but the only way I'll pay for another MC upgrade, which I'd like to do, is if bug are fixed in the current shipping product. Otherwise, I'm on the treadmill forever.
