New User - Printing Library
« on: December 08, 2003, 05:01:04 pm »

Hi I am a very new user trying to evaluate this product against others. Whilst this seems to be very comprehensive, there seems to be an unwillingness to help novices such as myself offline on a one-to-one technical support basis.

I presume that there is NO technical support which is why I am requested to ask even trivial questions on this forum.

So, if that is what Media Center insist on- here goes (and apologies !!!):-

1. I have copied an existing library of several hundred albums. As a reference I want a hard copy of just Artist and Album. However, the only printouts I seem to get go down to listing the same album line entry for every track.  How can I achieve a condensed printout - one line per album in artist order ?

2. I have several albums which do not have any album or track info, When I select one album and go online to do a lookup, I get nonsense back. Tracks come back by artists I have never even heard of. Why ?

3.

Are you using Media Center or Media Jukebox?  I would recommend Media Center.  MC has track lookup and CD lookup.  MJ only has CD lookup.

They also have different capabilities for printing.  I believe they are both under the file menu.  You can export to comma delimited ascii then import in xcel and remove columns.

Hi  Bryan,

No unfortunately no-one has been able to answer why nonsense tracks come though (yet).
