Non-poll poll

After all useful information has been extracted from him, how should he be punished? Your choices...

1 ) Hanged
2 ) Decapitated
3 ) Gassed
4 ) Tarred & feathered
5 ) Stoned to death
6 ) Fed to the lions
7 ) Electrocuted
8 ) Slowly tortured to death
9 ) Set free in the middle of an Iraqi crowd (who would likely tear him apart)
10 ) Life imprisonment
11 ) Specify alternative

How about treating him like any other criminal?  Give him a full trial for his offenses and let him have the same outcome as anyone else would.

It's supposed to be about justice and not about hunting witches.

It's good news.

Overall Jim I tend to agree. But this guy....I don't know. He'll probably be spared anyway due to international outcry. Which is more than what he deserves.

Would like to venture a guess though that he'll end up in Cuba for a bit of questioning.

You have to be as barbarian as the ones in front of you if there is danger.

Out of it, you have to show barbarians that you are not like them.

So nothing special for him, just the rules.

As we can see with the process of nazis in Nuremberg and the ones concerning ex-yougolavia still running in La Hague, just to treat them as regular persons can be a much bigger torture than any physical one

Even If We Think He Is The Worst, He Still Has A Right As A Human (Debatable) To Be Treated And Given All The Rights Aforded To All In The Free World.

If Not Then We Would Be Just Like Him.

After All That Is Done, Then And Only Then Put Him To Death

And The People Of IRAQ Should Make That Choice

100% ACK. If there should be a real chance for law in the future, there can't be another way.

this would be ideal.

a kurdish official on CNN thought he should be made to tend the flowers at the cemetry for victims of the Halabja incident, and that he be given the job of street cleaner.

i suppose he does not have any more fight in him, was quite surprised to learn not a single shot was fired in his apphrehension. Was this really the tyrant that ruled for over 35yrs...

on a lighter note...

I think you can only judge about people if you stand your ideal even before the worst man alive.
So this means: Trial - without punishment not worthy humans (like death penalties) - yeah I know many people think different.

I don't hope they will take him to "The Hague" (Den Haag). It will take a lot of measurements to protect him over here. Let him stay in his country and be trialed there. Think the people from Iraq would prefer that as well!

Eventhough I also would like to choose number 8 from xen-uno, I think a bigger punishment would be to send him to court. I hope they can and will protect him in the proces.

Bin Laden, please stay out of this.

I would think that the US And Other Counties (Involved) Would Help Over See The Court.

I Think Turning It\Him Over To The UN Would Be A Mistake.

Isn't it ironic.

The man who was sought the most (next to Bin Laden) will now be the most protected man on the face of the earth.  ;D

If something will happen to him within the next days the US will get the blame.
And yes if Bin Laden is already dead then that would be great news to. Good way to start 2004 !!!

Got him? Great!
And to double the joy some burglars broke into the house of Dieter Bohlen (=Modern Talking) last night and went away with his entire, brand new studio equipment.
There's still hope for a better world   ;D
