Classical music playback
« on: December 17, 2003, 03:29:39 pm »

This seems simple, but i can't find any help on the subject. Many classical CDs have separately indexed tracks within a movement. I want to be able to play these so there is a pause between true movements but no pause between tracks in the same movement. In other words, I'd like them to play back just as the original CD. I can't find a playback or ripping mode that does this. Is there a way to do it? It seems that this would be a common request.

It appears to be a upcoming feature of V10.

In the meantime see...

I ended up using the extract range feature of EAC (see thread referenced above) to rip Opera.  One mp3 per act. It works file, tho the files can get pretty big when you're ripping stuff from the Ring cycle!  You lose the ability to jump forward in the track, but I don't do that anyway.
