I have 3 days on MC9 trial want to purchase..
« on: December 22, 2003, 02:56:02 pm »

I have only three days left on my trial.  I would like to purchase this product but want version 10.  It would not make a lot of sense to buy v9 and then pay for 10 in a few days.  When will 10 be available for purchase?  If I got v9 do I get an upgrade to 10?

Thanks

Go ahead and install v10 then hit MC>Help>Buy Media Center. You can buy v9 but then you'll have to pony up an additional 13 De Niro's later for the v10 upgrade.

Remember v10 is beta. It will be beta for a while. v9
is a "finished" release, so if you don't want to be a beta tester go with v9, you will always be able to upgrade to v10 at a discounted fee.

For most core features, v10 picks up where 9.1 left off. So...though v10 is on the bleeding edge of development for some things, it's stable enough to warrant skipping 9.1 (IMO).

I'd have to agree with Xen, I have had no major issues using MC10.
For a beta it is extremely stable and reliable.
I'd go with the beta of MC10, and if you prefer not to do beta testing just stay a few builds back, checking the postings to see if it has any major bugs.
