Nope. We used to have some rudimentary support for Winamp Visuals, but that was removed.

BUT.... you can always set Winamp up as an external tool under MC's Send To menu, and then use MC to manage your library and create playlists, and then just have MC send that playlist to Winamp. So it's at least something.

The problem is that Winamp visualizations are like separate programs. (they create their own window, etc.)  It makes it hard to integrate cleanly into the MC display system.

I'd be willing to live with that. ;)

That would be fine with me ;)  I *REALLY* miss the milkdrop plugin.  The MC visualizations are okay, but none of them make the people who see them say, "Wow, that is really cool".  When I'd pipe winamp out to my TV/Stereo, often people would just site there and stare at the screen...MilkDrop is very well done and very interesting to watch.

Aye Aye! :)

I too miss Milkdrop... I had a nice setup with Winamp5 where it would show Milkdrop for songs and flip to full screen video for my Music Videos, both displayed on the TV.  I could use the 'send to', but then I'd lose functionality such as 'Add to playing now (play next)/(play now)/etc'... no? (as well as the ease of just double clicking files :)

But even though I miss Milkdrop... I still use MC... guess that says something :)

I wouldn't mind at all if the only option was to have the vis in a separate window. It would be better than not at all.

How could I forget Geiss?  That guy is the master of Visualizations.  Someone should ask him to port his goodies to MC.  Oh the hours I wasted staring at the "Smoke" viz...

Dont worry, you didn't.
MilkDrop was written by Ryan Geiss also. www.geisswerks.com

And if you just re-installed WinAmp to reminice with MilkDrop, drop by http://www.milkdrop.co.uk/. There's something like 3,600 MilkDrop presets to download.

Scott.

And how exactly do you do this? I found the "Add external program" option in the "Send To" menu, but that just seems to launch one instance of Winamp for every song in the playlist. Do you need to put "[playlist]" as the parameter? Where is this documented?
