Getting back registration key
« on: January 01, 2004, 12:23:59 am »

Hi,

About a year ago, I paid a fee and got a registration key for Media Jukebox. The key was sent to me with a message stating that it was good for 2 weeks. I used it and registered Media Jukebox (version 8) without problem. When the Media Center (version 9) became available, I just transfered my registration without problem. However, all of a sudden, today, the software tells me that I now have an unregistered version good only for 30 days.  What has happened? Do I have to pay another fee to keep using Media Center? If so, will this be happening periodically? Where can I go to get advice on how best to resolve my problem?

And ... best wishes for the New Year just starting.

something may have happened, you need to go to the restore page and restore your license.

i think sometimes this happens when you change the network name.

I tried to go to the restore page, using the dialogue box that says:
- "restore license from file" but it does not seem to find the file
I then tried to use the other option offered in the same dialogue box:
- "restore from internet" but when I click on 'OK', nothing happens.

Is there another way to access the restore Web page?

I believe you will receive a new 'Key' or 'mjr' file via email to reactivate your registration with.

Hi,

I got a new registration key as attachment (ending in 'mjr') to an e-mail message. I double clicked on it to open it but it is telling me:
"error restoring ... Failed extracting license from file".
I tried to save the file and use it from within Media Center 9.1's restore dialog box on the menu but got the same error response.
I am using Windows ME.

How can I fix this problem.

Best wishes,

Denis

OK! OK!
Everything is now fixed and my version of the software registered.

I downloaded the latest upgrade for the software, installed it and tried the license key once more. This time it worked!

Thanks.
