Copy & paste your sys info from MJ>Help>System Info in another post here for starters.

I am having the exact same problem.  Everytime I try to burn a CD, it runs through one or two tracks "Preparing to Write" and then shuts down.

Here is my Sys info:
Media Jukebox PLUS 8.0.399
Install Path: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 1693 MHz MMX
Memory: Total - 654 MB, Free - 444 MB
OS: Microsoft Windows XP  Workstation 5.1 Service Pack 1 (Build 2600)

Internet Explorer: 6.0.2800.1106
ComCtl32.dll: 6.00.2800.1106
Shlwapi.dll: 6.00.2800.1106
Shell32.dll: 6.00.2800.1233

FYI...I have now uninstalled and reinstalled Media Jukebox 8 and I am getting the exact same error message at the same time.  It goes through the Write Preparation of 3 songs and then shuts down inexpicably.  Is Version 8 not compatible with XP?  I never had this problem until I actually PAID for the upgrade.  I'm wishing now I hadn't done that.
