5.1 output says 2 channels??

hi! :)

i suddenly noticed todat that evenb though i have my setting in the dsp studio set on 5.1 channels and my output is ASIO and i have a capable sound card (audigy) it keeps saying in media center that its playing in 44.1 2 channels...what am i doing wrong i mean i am getting sound through my center speaker but probably not in 5.1 format...any help?

Let me guess do you have kx drivers? If yes go to ASIO settings and change the settings to 41,000 hz

i dont have the kx drivers , i installed them once and it kinda messed up stuff on my comp. but Mc says the output is 44.1 khz isnt it the way its supposed to be?

See the ASIO configuration output of your soundboard drivers, if is set to 48,000hz them you have to configure that in MC, you have only this problem with ASIO or also with Direct sound or Wave out?
