Playlist dissapearing w/ media server
« on: January 08, 2004, 10:13:24 pm »

Using Media Server. On a networked client PC, after finding the server I create a playlist. The playlist creates and plays fine, but dissapears when I restart Medis Center 9 on the client. In other words, the playlist is gone the next time I start up Media Center.

Any ideas?

Playing with this a bit. Playlists created on the server show up in the client(s) - very kewl.

Playlist on the client can be added to and such, but I cannot seem to save it. My hope is that there would be a way for clients to save playlists locally, and perhaps to the server so that other clients can access. Anyone using media server and saving playlists unique to a client either locally or back to the server?

Thanks, Brian

That's how it works.  No changes are saved when connected to a MediaServer.  Unfortunately, it still allows you to make changes, giving you the illusion it will work...

I believe quite a few of us would like it to work (ie keep remote server info syncronised with main server and vice versa)... we wait and hope :)  [ well, me at least :) ]
