hi all

been thinking about getting a remote control for MC 9.0...any suggestions?

I would like one that can turn on my computer, open MC, and capable of use as many functions of MC as possible

My computer is a laptop that has no IR port, but has a centrino chip with radio frecuency 11b built in which I use to connect to internet (donŽt know if this makes it impossible to use something else via radio frequency while using internet), but maybe I could use this feature for the remote

I use the "X10 RF Remote" in conjunction with an application called "Girder".  Since it is RF, it works through walls.  It also has IR support, so it can replace all of your other remotes.  I use it to do about everything in MC, Windows Media Player, SnapStream, and when not using one of those apps, it will function as a mouse (it has a mouse pad and mouse buttons).  It will hook into "X10" power controllers which could be used to turn on the laptop...but I don't have them, so I can speak with no authority on that aspect.
