Since the gaps between mp3 songs are apparently unavoidable due to the way mp3s work, are there any formats that offer similar compression and quality as mp3s that are actually gapless?  Crossfading only "simulates" gapless playback -- I'm looking for TRUE gapless playback that will play songs JUST like they play on the CD -- i.e. where the seam between songs in truly invisible.  I've read that Ogg can do this, but I need a format that is both iPod and MC compatible.

If not, is there a way to rip an entire album as a single song in MC?

Thanks,

Larry
