Thanks Jim. I downloaded the latest build. The "can not create plug in" bug is gone...
I haven't gotten to checking the rest of it yet though, but I would really appreciate it if you could answer a couple of simple questions for me..
I was under the assumption (yes..I know the assume rule
) that the rip and encode simultaniously selection meant that after the rip was done, encoding would begin. And that with it unchecked, all of the selected tracks would be ripped first, and when done the .wav's or .ape files would then go through a batch process.
But after having just checked, and doing it both ways (with R&E simultaniously), checked and unchecked...it winds up being done exactly the same way. I don't get that at all. For a moment, I thought that if I checked the box, the file would be encoded directly rather than waiting for the rip to be done, but this is not the case.
Is this a known issue ? Because it sort of makes the option useless, and the feature redundant. Otherwise, I do see some other fixes from before such as: After the rip is done, MC takes me to the .dir where the files are in order to do a conversion. Cool.
I also noticed that "I" made a mistake with the file naming, where I was getting the track number right next to the title, I didn't insert a space and a hyphen. However, I'm wondering if it's possible to have a file like this:
01) Song (instead of) 01 - song
Not a biggie though. I guess everything else is moving along then.
Now, I have a question totally different in nature. The one thing I really miss about using QCD player, is that I had a totally configurable control panel that sat in my system tray. I could raise or lower the volume, change tracks, search the playlist and other stuff, with very tiny icons (simple plain black audio icons).
Is there a plug in for MC that does this ? I hate having to max the screen every time I want to do something as simple as look for a song, or change the volume, especially when I've got a ton of other apps open, and I have to dig for MC.
That's it for now. Thanks for your help..
