Hello all.


I have a standard Microsoft Multimedia keyboard with all kind of buttons...
I set the 'Media' button to turn on the MediaCenter, but the problem is with the 'Play/Pause' and the rest of the buttons... When I press the 'Play' it opens the Media Player... And we don't want that to happen.

The other thing is about a Plugin for converting from an MP3 to MIDI for Mobile phones.
Do you think it's possible?

You can configure the MS keyboard buttons to run a program of your choice.  Therefore you can set them to mjextman commands that will trigger the commands that you want like Play, stop, pause etc.  If you do this the buttons will only work with MC and not other players like WMP.

It is not possible to convert an MP3 to midi.  MP3 is a recording of an audio waveform albeit compressed.  MIDI is a set of instructions that is interpreted by a midi processor to create a song.  They are therefore two very different things.  There is software available that claims to be able to analyse a waveform and pick out the melody and then convert this into midi but the results are far from successful.  This would just take too much processing.  Maybe 50 or 60 years into the future!!  The only thing to do is to search for Midi sites on Google and see if there is a midi available of the track you want.  I recommend the midi robot... (www.midirobot.com).  Either that or get a P900 which allows MP3 as ring tones... (I have one and it is sweet sweet sweet)
