Media Center on CD
« on: February 03, 2004, 12:07:30 pm »

This is such a silly question I wondered that it hasn't been covered somewhere before.

I want to give Media Center as a gift to someone (in Canada) who is stuck with a wretched 24KB connection until the area gets wired for more modern phone and cable lines.

Do you offer a CD with the program on it somewhere I haven't looked yet?

You could always burn it to CD and then give your friend the money to register.

You could just burn the download onto a CD and send it.  The purchase doesn't take much bandwidth.

Thank you.

I was thinking that the updates usually wind up being fully new downloads though. And how would I 'buy it' for my friend if they are initiating the purchase?

I'm thinking this may be a bad idea until the lines imporve.
