Multiple Artist
« on: November 27, 2002, 11:33:35 am »

Hi,

I have been using MJ in an all-day MP3 bender and I have an issue maybe you can resolve.

Many of My MP3's have been put into "Muiltple Artist" for no apparent reason and resist any changes, despite numorous efforts to change all the files to One spelling/spacing etc.

ALSO  when I upgraded it also created multiple headings for artist that were not there before and are apparently spelled the same!  Any thoughts?

"Hidden" spaces, ie. before or after names?
Upper/lower/title cases all matched in the names?

Might help to post what version you are using. You should be able to get that from Help> System Info...

If you corrected an artist name in the "Artist" field, did you also correct the directory (assuming you use directories with the artist name)?

Try taking all the tracks from an album you know is now correct and running a "rename file from properties" on it.
