jrimage.dll - Crash!
« on: February 07, 2004, 12:14:56 pm »

Hello,

I'm evaluating Media Center 9 and 10b, and I must say that I love this software. Everything is there, it's perfect for me... However it crashes many times a day, to a point of major irritation.

I'm running it on XP, I'm playing some track with it w/ cover art display. At the same time i'm modifying tag information of some of my tracks.

It always crash with this message on whatever version I'm using...

AppName: media jukebox.exe    AppVer: 10.0.64.0    ModName: jrimage.dll
ModVer: 1.2.47.0    Offset: 000038d9

What's up with that? I would love to love this software...

Thanks for any help.

Maybe try switching skins.

If you could isolate a way to make it crash, it would help.

JRImage does all the drawing for MC, and this isn't a problem we've heard of before.  What type of CPU and video card do you have?  Updating drivers might help.

Thanks.

Hello Matt,

Well, I've re-installed the latest Nvidia drivers and changed skin. But, it still crashes... It never crashes during the same activity. I guess it crashes when it refreshes the display. Anything else I shouldtry except reinstalling XP :(

Thanks for your time.

What type of CPU do you have?  JRImage has a lot of MMX assembly.

Is the computer otherwise stable?  Is it overclocked?

We may need to send you a special debug version of JRImage if we can't figure it out.  It'd be really nice if you could find one certain thing (resizing, visualizations, F5 refresh, etc.) that caused a crash.

Thanks lpr.
