Playback woes...
« on: November 26, 2002, 03:06:36 pm »

Upgraded to 8.0.388

Many video files that I once relied on MJ to play because WMP would not play them; don't play anymore.

Instead it says Windows Media Player at the bottom of my view screen and MJ cannot display visualizations for this file type on the top of my display.

Please say you have not intigrated with that domineering POS WMP...

Can I restore the codec library that enabled me to play back the non WMP compliant files I so dearly love?

Have you installed Windows Media Player 9?

if so it may not work since Microsoft has not released the WMP9 SDK and that kind of messes things up.

Listening to: 'Mo Money, Mo Problems' from 'Life After Death' by 'Notorious B.I.G.' on Media Jukebox Charted At 01 In 1997

Well it has a Good beat, So Dick Clark I give it a 98

No.  I try to stay away from beta stuff as I'm not smart enough to fix things like my registry when they break.

Any idea why the previous MJ would play stuff that WMP will would not?  It should be noted that at this point they will both kick out the audio layer just not the video.

Thanks
