Dumb Question re Smart playlists
« on: February 19, 2004, 04:42:02 am »

Just started looking at smart playlist creation. What i want to do is create playlists of say approx 60 or 120 min duration, alternatively with say 13 or 26 tracks would do as well. I need this to produce a radio program.
Is there a way of doing this? I did look but it's not jumping out at me.
thanks,
Geoff

yep, found the answer in the help file. Is there anywhere on the website where more formulas are listed for good playlists?

not that i know of, however Media Center has a load of preset ones available including such things as "random audio, 1 CD worth" you could very easily tweak that to give genres, favorites etc...

Here's a sample:

[rating]=4,5 [media type]=[audio] ~t=74 ~nodup=[Artist],[Name] [Genre]=[Electronica]

you can just copy that in, but change the time, genre etc to whatever suits you.
