PLaylists
« on: February 19, 2004, 12:36:53 pm »

I have reinstalled this program 4 times and now the only thing I cannot get to work is the playlist feature. I make a list and it shows in the playlist tree but it will not save. How do I do this. This cannot be so difficult. Please don't tell me I have to install this again! >:(

Are you sure it's not there?

Right Click on Playlist's - Add Playlist
Enter Playlist Name
Select Playlist Group - This is were it will be saved.
Drag files to the Action Window,
When your done expand the area that you put it and it should be there...

What version of MC are you using?

I am using version 9.1. I did what you said. I created a playlist and then did the add playlist group, which pops up under the playlist so it does not contasin the list unless I drag it there. I then add songs by going to songs or albums or genres and click the send to playlist and the play list name. I have even dragged files to the playlist icon. WhenI click on the playlist I see the sings therein. However, If I exit or "search for Media Server" the playlist goes away. This is the only thing that does not work but it is really an important component. Is there somebody that could walk me through this? I really want to buy this program but not if I continue to have so many problems.

Thanks

dfraim - The 'beta thread' is the topic at the top of the 'INTERACT FORUM\General\Media Center' forum, which is always entitled "Media Center 10.0.XX beta available".  Click on it and it'll give you some info and a link to download the lates version

believe it or not I am almost there. I downloaded the new program and now I can make playlists which stay but (there had to be something) the new playlists do not appear when I go to the Tivo menus. Did I miss something or should I just reinstall it again

When you change the library on the server, you need to restart sharing in Media Server.  Stop and start sharing.
