Red x's instead of music notes
« on: March 03, 2004, 01:32:13 pm »

What's the little box with the red x mean when it appears instead of the double music notes in the Media Library display?  I thought it meant the tune couldn't be located, but I can click on it and play the tune?

What does it mean?  What do I do about them?

Well, how can the files not be found when I clicked on a tune and it played?  Also, the file path appeared in the appropriate column.

Anyway, I got out and went back in and the x's disappeared, so I guess it was a glitch.

just a thought.

i store my media on an external hdd. if i open Media Center without the HDD attached i get the red x's everywhere. If i re-attach the hard disk they dont go away. BUT if i click on them the progam finds the file and it plays fine.

i just ignore it, but attaching the hard disk first or closing and reopening MC will clear that up.
